Happened to chance upon a deal via Streetdeal.com.sg and we managed to snap the deal for ourselves. For just $30, we are entitled to a 2 days 1 night stay at Celestial Ubin Beach Resort, unlimited times of fish spa and the entire day usage of bicycle and breakfast.
Palau Ubin let's go!
Bumboat to Palau Ubin at Changi Point Ferry Terminal.
Hehe we are inside the bumboat on the way to Palau Ubin.
The typical tourist shot.
Thank god the deal was Celestial Ubin Beach Resort instead of Celestial Resort because the former was 250km walk away whereas the latter was 2.4km away.
Just less than 5 minutes from the Jetty and here we are!
We were told to wait for at least 30 minutes while waiting for them to clean up the room because we arrived there earlier than the check in timing at 2pm.
The wrist sticker that we had to wear the entire day till tomorrow in order for their recognition of guests.
Finally got our room key.
The room! It wasn't very dirty as what i expected, anyway it's a new resort, how dirty can it be? (Ignore the unglam guy, told him to move away so that i can snap room shot but he's too focus on his foot lol)
But the mirror was very dirty, ewwww.
We settled down with our baggage and prepared to go for a short cycling ride.
There were too many upward sloping road that we gave up, it was too tiring to carry on with the ride after 30 minutes later. Stomachs were growling and we gave in to our hungriness and went for a sumptuous dinner of typical zhi char food. There are quite a number of coffee shops to choose from and we chose one that seemed cleaner to us and surprisingly, the food tasted so good that i feel it's so much better than some stalls in Singapore's island. The bill amounted to $29 for 3 plates of dishes, 3 bowls of rice and a cup of drink.
The next day, we missed the breakfast, breakfast was only till 10am but we were woke up at 10.30am instead. To compensate the missed of breakfast, i decided to try the fish spa, it came free with the streetdeal coupon by the way. The fish spa experience was pretty average but on the other hand, i can't stand the tickle attack when a group of fishes nibble off my dead skin. I only managed to endure for approxmiately 5 minutes of fish spa before we checked out.
Ayam penyet for lunch when we arrived back to the reality at Singapore Island.
And there goes our amazing first getaway trip.
Thanks for the partial sponsored trip by the boyfriend and we'll have more trips to come in the future like this, i promise :)
Planning batam trip soon, let's go!
